In the conclusion of his 1972 paper "On the Criteria To Be Used in Decomposing Systems into Modules," Prof. David Parnas suggested a different starting point: begin with the design decisions most likely to change, and build each module to hide one of them from all the others. Re: Testimony regarding manufacturing system developed by Tagar Computer Systems Ltd.

Back in 2011, Tagar Computer Systems Ltd designed and developed for Galil Medical, a software application for a critical manufacturing system for a disposable medical device.

The software application was designed on an off-the-shelf PC to which real time sensors were attached. The system was delivered within six months and was tested to performed according to specification. A unique feature was that all parameters of the manufacturing system are loaded from a configuration file on application launch, allowing for easy maintenance and adoption to different products, without further software releases.

Today, 10 years later, the manufacturing system runs non-stop without a single failure, demonstrating the high quality of the software developed by Tagar Computer Systems Ltd.
